Diary Of A Samaritan Woman

9 The Samaritan woman said to him, "How is it that you, a Jew, ask a drink of me, a woman of Samaria?" (Jews do not share things in common with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water." 11 The woman said to him, "Sir, you have no bucket, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? (John 4:9-11)

Dear diary: odd day at the well; went mid-day, as usual, expecting no one; saw a man (Jewish man, no bucket) sitting there and hoped he wouldn't be trouble; when he spoke to me, I thought he was asking me to draw water for him; I almost let him know he was messing with the wrong woman, but then he turned it around; said I should be asking him for fresh water, that I wouldn't be thirsty any more; don't know why I kept talking to him, but there was something about him; I asked him to give me that water so I wouldn't have to come to the well; he told me to go get my husband and I told him I didn't have one (none of his business); then he told me things about myself that I wouldn't share with anyone; I confirmed nothing, but acknowledged he must be a prophet; he said he is I AM, the one we've waited for; without thinking, I ran back in town and told everyone to come see this man; they actually listened to me! everyone is talking about him now; could he really be the one; with all he knew about me, why did he talk to ME? maybe I will go to the well early tomorrow to see what the women are saying; maybe they won't judge me this time; maybe I don't care it they do; it's a new day

28 Then the woman left her water jar and went back to the city. She said to the people, 29 "Come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done! He cannot be the Messiah, can he?" (John 4:28-29)
