Triune Care

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:1-5)

When a potter fashions a vessel on the wheel, water keeps the clay pliable until the desired shape is achieved. Once allowed to dry and rest, the vessel is set but, when it's baked in the fire, it is strengthened so it won't easily break. Fashioned by our Potter, our baptism in Christ keeps us moldable, and the fire of the Spirit strengthens us for the work we were made to do.

Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer. Yahweh, Lamb, Comforter. God, Jesus, Spirit. No matter the titles or names used, or our ability or inability to attempt to grasp the concept of the Trinity, the thing that is clear is God's intention to be in continuous relationship with us. The One who creates all, created us, recreates us, continually molds us. The One who gave his life for all, shares in our sufferings, embodies our pain. The One who moves and breathes through all of creation, breathes life into us, sustains the image of God in us.

No matter what we've done, or not done, we are never without the God who made us and remakes us, who sacrificed all for us, who chooses to be with us, to live in and through us, to guide and sustain us.

12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” (John 16:12-15)
